2013 United States Congressional Holiday Ornament

The 2013 Official Ornament of the United States Senate features a three-dimensional gold and crimson eagle surrounded by crimson fabric removed from the Old Senate Chamber. The eagle is modeled after the original eagle that surmounted the dais in the Old Senate Chamber. Shaped like the historic gilded shield on which the eagle stands in the Chamber, the ornament is finished in 24 kt gold etched with acanthus leaves and is topped with a representation of the United States Capitol dome.
